THE
ANN W. RUDOLPH BUTTON COLLECTION
In 1993, the estate of Ann W. and Emanuel D. Rudolph bequeathed a core collection of materials about buttons to the Human Ecology Library (HEC). Ann W. Rudolph (1934-1991), an avid button and book collector, assembled a variety of resources on button history, materials, manufactures, and styles. The College of Human Ecology's Historic Costume and Textiles Collection received her vast collection of buttons.
Library patrons can access button research materials at the Education,
Human Ecology, Psychology, and Social Work Library (EHS). Information
about these materials are available to users through OSCAR, OhioLINK, WorldCAT,
and other on-line catalog systems. The lending policy for these materials
is strict. Rare and unique materials may not leave the library; however,
patrons can duplicate some materials with the permission of the Human Ecology
Librarian.
